Best controls ive found is sprint on r1 attack on square, crouch on L3 and pistols on triangle. Gives the old vibes

If you do sprint to R2 (& hold), and change ability to R1, and attack to Square, and crouch to L3, and then sweep to down on dpad, that will solve the issue. It will show a bunch of conflicts, but it actually will not have any conflicts and you can fully play and have full control.

ropotopolous (the parkour guy) made R1/RB sprint and changed attack to square/x and crouch to L3/LS. it will say photomode and kick wont work, dont worry tho its lying. I play with these settings and have had no problems throughout my playthrough.

I’ve never liked the way they changed the default in AC to “press down left stick”. It makes things so much more difficult. Sometimes you press down on the joystick without realising it, because you’re pushing it forwards and accidentally pressing down on it too.

You still can parkour if you use RT/R2 to sprint. You’ll have to change sweep to something else (I use down on d-pad). All the action button stuff holding RT/R2 still works when you need it in combat and doesn’t interfere with parkouring. Feels way better than default controls.

Crouch being square is throwing me off a little icl, but when I change it-it messes up other prompts

Sweep is what is causing the parkour button to not work whilst using trigger to sprint. You can still set sprint to RT/R2 and have A/X to climb still work at the same time. All you have to do is set the Sweep button input to LB/L1 It doesnt mess with parry at all and now you can use trigger and still use A/X to parkour.

Honestly, that doesn’t fix the controls at all because even the speed and weight and physics of the character aren’t the same. The old control scheme worked perfectly and it seems like they’re not gonna bring that back.
