The disaster left families displaced, livelihoods disrupted, and entire barangays working to rebuild their lives. Just a month later, Typhoon Inday brought another wave of fear and uncertainty. After three consecutive days of heavy rainfall, the weather finally cleared on the fourth day, allowing residents of Barangay Glan Padidu to relax for a while and believe that the worst had passed. However, our relief was short-lived. The artificial dam in Barangay Mudan reportedly gave way, unleashing a sudden flash flood that swept across several purok in Barangay Glan-Padidu. Within moments, rising waters forced families to flee once again, reviving the trauma left by the earthquake and compounding the suffering of communities that had barely begun to recover.
