@beyourownchild: Every time I walk down the street, I worry about being attacked, facing racism, or being insulted. I constantly feel people staring at me just because I'm Asian. This reflects what so many Asians experience every day. We have our eyes mocked with racist gestures, people make fun of our languages and cultures, and we're stared at on the street as if we don't belong. Many of us live with the fear that we could be targeted or attacked simply because of how we look. We haven't harmed anyone. Most of us are just ordinary people trying to live peacefully, treat others with kindness, and work hard to build our lives. Yet we are too often dehumanized, reduced to stereotypes, and treated as if we exist for other people's amusement instead of being seen as human beings deserving of the same dignity and respect as everyone else #racism #racist #netherlands #dutch #asian

I’m Asian living in the Netherlands too. When I was younger, I went through similar experiences, but thankfully, that’s all behind me now. My advice is to just be yourself. Don’t think too much about what other people say or do. Stay calm, focus on your own life, and things will get better with time. Find good friends who truly appreciate you, and make the best memories together. Those are the people who really matter.

I'm Asian too and honestly, I'm scared to go to America or Europe. I've never been abroad but I see clips almost every day on Twitter and TikTok of people just walking around and suddenly getting punched, shot, stabbed or bullied for no reason. Seeing those videos makes me scared to visit. I feel safe in my own country so I don't want to risk my life just to travel there. To be honest, going to America or Europe was one of my dreams when I was younger but not anymore because of all the clips I've seen on social media 😆
