dont spread false info. your situation does not apply to the world and ev market as a whole. I spend 0 dollars charging for free at work and save $4500 annually on gas.

Check your math… California is 13-16 cents per kWh, based on what you said, that would mean you’re driving 7500 miles per month.

More gaslighting. I live in LA. I’m on TOU prime which is 0.23c per kWh. My monthly electricity bill for 2 model Y is $100 per month. And my family drives both cars regularly. My normal gas budget per month with 2 gas cars was $300-400 per month.

Here in Tennessee we pay about 1/3 what you do per kwh. It will absolutely save money here in Tennessee even with the cheaper gas prices.

“Don’t buy an EV to save on gas” is a wild conclusion when your entire argument is based on living in one of the most expensive electricity markets in the country. I went from $300+ a month in gas to $60–70 in charging. The math isn’t exactly subtle

This is completely untrue. I save so much compared to gas. Seriously I pay 20% of what gas would cost. I dove 71k mile this last year trust me I know what I’m talking about

My gas bill used to be $1000/month @ $5.50/gallon. I’m paying less than $200/month with a model 3 charging at home

Under the most expensive electric company in California if charged overnight is $9 for a full charge. 24 miles per $1. With a 50mpg car like you say and a $4.50 per gallon cost you're paying 11 miles per $1.

also two hidden costs: tires and registration. tires wear out faster due to the heavy weight from the battery pack, and states are charging more in registration because EVs don’t pay the per gallon tax at the gas pump.
