See but this would imply Spamton was afraid of something, which he wasn’t. He actively kept trying to chase after whatever made him a “big shot”, and we know he was an Addison. He kept changing his appearance to look like a Swatchling to sneak into the castle and get ahold of the empty NEO suit.

I feel like he def changed his clothing and got the glasses so that way he’d look similar to FRIEND(s?), but he talks about how he hates being a puppet and wants to break free from being one, both figuratively and literally. I don’t think he willingly changed into a puppet just to hide away, it might’ve been his benefactor or an ally of his benefactor

What if: “Garbage Noise” isn’t Gaster calling, it just means that no one’s on the other side. When the Addison found Spamtons phone making garbage noise, Spamton had just left in a hurry without hanging up because Friend was rapidly approaching his location
