@thelaceybahns: I made this reel and then opened the Word and one of the next verses i read was proverbs 29:26 “many seek the rulers favor, but justice comes from the Lord.” After having 56 million eyes on me for the better last half of my pregnancy + birth, this was a great lesson for me. Letting God get justice. I eventually stopped reading the insults and comments. (Most of which were actually kind but there were a lot that were disturbing) “When they hurled their insults at Him, He did not retaliate… Instead, He entrusted Himself to Him who judges justly.” — 1 Peter 2:23 “Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him, and He will act. He will bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.” — Psalms 37:5–6 All i did was trust Gods timing. I let my twins stay in my body past 38 weeks. Then past 39. Then past 40. And people hated me for it. I leaned deeply into the Bible and into prayer. And when I felt like it was time to have these babies, i prayed on it. I got really still and trusted that my path was laid before me. It wasn’t the birth i planned but that’s the thing, it wasn’t me captaining the ship. I was just following orders. I put God and prayer above all else. It’s not for everyone, but it’s my journey now. Deep, deep surrender. And The peace I’ve had since welcoming God into my life is indescribable.
