@martinaflorstudio: One lettering piece I made just for fun ended up generating tens of thousands of dollars in client work. Here's how it happened 👇 It started with making something unique, a mix of digital techniques and research print that made people stop and look. If you want to stand out, this is where it begins: your work has to be different. I added it to my portfolio and shared it on social media. Simple, but essential. If you don't put your work out there, no one will ever see it. Later, an art director at a German football magazine found it online and commissioned similar pieces. The project blew up even more when readers shared the magazine cover widely on social media, and it eventually became a billboard campaign. I updated my portfolio again, this time featuring the magazine's name and the right keywords. That let me borrow some of my client's visibility and made it way easier for future clients to find me. Then I researched and reached out to an art director at Penguin Random House. We met, I showed my work, and it turned out they had a project that fit perfectly. That became a series of book covers. Getting noticed starts with you. Create great work. Put it out there. Share it consistently. If you don't, no one will know your work exists.
