I remember giant headphones and pictures being shown to me, but I’m not sure I was in the program. However, I have a pretty good memory and I DO NOT remember grades 1-3. AT ALL. I remember things happening before and in K and my memories come back in 4th grade but I don’t remember anything from grades 1-3. I moved to another state in 4th grade.

I remember that, I did the tests and puzzles. I even completed a complex puzzle before one of my teachers. I am from Australia 🇦🇺.

I was reading at age 5 by myself. Tested into GATE at age 7. By 6th grade I was reading at a 12th grade level.

I'm a child of the 80's that grew up in America and I 100% remember being taken out of class to do all sorts of testing/ "games". hearing tests, puzzles, its strange thinking back at it now but never thought twice about it at the time.

Yes! It’s strange because I know it happened but I feel like it’s a false memory. I can remember the drink and the treats and the weird tones in the headphones. I remember being asked to do drawings. I remember it all! They called it enrichment classes for gifted & talented. It’s so strange…

hated the hearing test one, never knew about the pink drink though, I was taken out of class LOADS! I just lied eventually and said I couldn't hear anything lol they eventually stopped, there was something about green too, having to watch a green dot (?) 🤷🏻♀️

I was in GATE in the ‘70’s. I had the headphones and had to distinguish different frequencies. There were flash card tests, pink drink, and visualization exercises.

I was taken into a small cupboard room for this test we had headphones I still remember the high frequency noise, plus remember dots in shapes , plus guess the picture ,an eye test to see numbers which I could see in the dots ,I'm a non tested neuro divergent I've always lived outside the box and am extremely creative. plus empathetic. 😊🌈🍄
