For me, retirement is not a lifestyle on TikTok. It is a financial independence provided by your partner: real estate, investments, monthly income and all expenses covered If he leaves tomorrow and you have to go back to work, you were not retired. You were simply maintained. True retirement is a sustainable financial security.

They don’t know what retired means. “Retired” is not the same as “not working because my man pays the bills” . My man can pay the bills but I work because I get income, extended health , RRSP matching, life insurance etc from my job . Why would I give that up even if I don’t need the job and don’t want to work
