I just retired and I am adjusting I was a activity director in skilled nursing center. I was so busy and now I am not but I am not sorry I was burnt out. It’s still an adjustment.

37 as a nurse for me. I always worked full time. Check out tutor.com. If you have a BSN or higher you can tutor nursing from home a few hours a day so I don't feel useless. I am also teaching myself to play piano and spending lots of time with grandkids. Oh, and finally I run 4-5 miles every single day. Boredom breeds aging!

I’m definitely retired and I love the flexibility of unscheduled time, but I can’t say I have a lot of it! I make sure my morning coffee is leisurely to the max, but most days get filled, some by fun choice and some by required chores or appointments.

I put my watch in a drawer and there it sits. I wonder if the battery is out. I also still set my alarm clock for no other reason but having the luxury of turning it off and going back to sleep. Love it 💕

This is so real! Retirement looks different for everyone, even in the same marriage. My partner could tinker and relax all day, while I need a mix of outings, projects, and purpose to feel fulfilled. Neither is wrong just different personalities. I’m definitely more like you I need variety!

gonna put this out there...look in your community for your local nursing home..the Activities Dept could probably really use you as a volunteer..been in it for 20 years..we are seriously happy if retirees just give us any time. play cards, help a dementia resident with bingo, sit outside with people.. just putting it out there🥰
