in California 8 hrs shift u get 2 paid 15 min and one 30 min unpaid lunch. some places its an hour. Marshalls gives 45 mins. if you go past 5 hrs and not take a lunch yet you get paid for it and still have to take one i did that twice on accident

Yesssss! Tell them! I used to work 10 hours at a shop without a break because I didn’t know they had to give me one. Now I ALWAYS take my break.

You literally will not catch me working 7hrs no lunch. I take my lunch when I get hungry for lunch or when I’m scheduled for it. I know my rights.

I would rather amend my schedule to make sure my stylist is fed and hydrated than to risk the negative effects of them not eating or drinking.

Where I work if you work at more than a 4 hour shift you are required to take an unpaid 30 minute break. If you don’t they deduct it from your hours. We also can take two 15 minute breaks if we need too (paid of course)
