i reset tripometer and in my phones notes write down at what mileage and the date the service i did whether its oil change, air filter, spark plugs

get yourself a little notebook for the glove box. record when you get gas, date, price, mileage. when you do Any work to your car, mileage, part changed date. when you sell the car you include that.
