You start wondering whether you tested too early, whether the result could still change, whether your cycle is delayed, or whether your period tracker got the timing wrong…. That is often when the comparison spiral begins!! BEEN THERE. You read stories from women who tested positive days after a missed period. You compare symptoms, cycle lengths and test dates. You look for a timeline that feels close enough to your own to offer some reassurance…. But the number of days someone was “late” does not always tell you what you think it does. Pregnancy-test timing is closely connected to ovulation timing, and ovulation does not always happen on the day an app predicts! In fact it’s almost never right unless your cycle is a perfect 28 days. That is why a missed period, a negative home pregnancy test and an uncertain ovulation date need to be looked at together….not as separate pieces of information.
