Listen… All those comments stating that “no child needs to learn to swim like this” is WILD!!! This isn’t “learning to swim” this is for people who have houses with pools with children… Do yall know how many kids die because they fall into pools 😳 Like this is an actual real thing and this parent did a great job… Remeber this isn’t about “learning to swim” this is about learning to survive during a potentially real life scenario…

Guess what, when your child is accidentally knocked into the water there is no warning! He knew what to do. She is a professional and knows his abilities. If he couldn’t do it she would not have thrown him in. He needs just as much confidence in himself. She is giving him that! Great job! I am not saying it is uncomfortable watching this. But that’s why there are professionals! Have a safe pool summer!💜🥰🙏

it is a hard watch but i feel this is important for young children to learn. too many children drown a year when falling into a body of water.

when a child accidentally falls in, do they get a warning? no. most drownings happen when a child panics. she was right there, coaching him, calming him and praising him for calming down. he calmed and floated. this was not done randomly. she has clearly been working with and teaching him. this was the test to see if he passed. but also to give him an opportunity to "fall in" in a controlled manner so he can also learn not to panic. she was right there and had he started to struggle could jump in and help in in a second flat. kids should have a healthy fear of falling in and should also be given the opportunity to learn not to panic. panicking kills.
