@iamkacijackson: “You wired it and everything yourself!?” Yep 😂 Buying a home on a budget forced me to learn how to do a lot of things myself. Leave it up to these handymen and I would’ve paid somebody’s whole mortgage note with all the lights I’ve changed and projects I’ve done around here. Over time, I built up a toolbox full of drills, sanders, wrench sets, and random equipment I once had no clue how to use. And somewhere along the way, I realized I wasn’t just saving money… I was building confidence. What a lot of people don’t see is that I also deal with autoimmune issues, and some days my body makes even normal movement feel difficult. So moments like this mean a little more to me. Every project reminds me that I’m capable. Not because I know everything. But because I stopped being afraid to learn. Anyway… ya girl installed her own rattan fan/light! And I’m excited about it
