I spend so much of my life telling everyone else not to give up. I remind them that storms eventually pass, that brighter days always come, and that every difficult chapter is only temporary. I encourage them to keep believing, to keep fighting, and to trust that all their efforts will one day be worth it.
But when the world grows quiet and I'm left alone with my own thoughts, I realize how hard it is to follow the same advice I so easily give to others. Behind every reassuring smile and every word of encouragement is someone who is still trying to figure out how to survive.
Some days, I don't need motivation—I just need a reason to keep going. Some days, I carry everyone's hope while silently searching for my own. It's strange how someone can become a safe place for others while feeling completely lost inside.
I'm not asking life to be easy. I just hope that one day the weight I carry will become lighter, that the endless questions in my mind will finally find peace, and that I won't always have to pretend I'm stronger than I feel.
Maybe surviving isn't about having all the answers. Maybe it's about choosing to wake up every day, even when everything feels uncertain. Maybe courage isn't the absence of fear, but deciding to move forward despite it.
So if you're reading this and you feel the same, know that you're not the only one trying to survive while telling everyone else to stay strong. Perhaps we're all quietly fighting battles no one can see, hoping that one day we'll look back and realize we made it through.
Until then, I'll keep holding on. Not because I know exactly where I'm going, but because a small part of me still believes that after every long night, morning eventually arrives. And maybe, just maybe, that's enough reason to take one more step today.
