I lost my 12 year old son 1 month before his 13th. I know this pain. I told my ex wife do not let my boy out be himself on the bike the same day he got struck by a truck...i had to see him dying infront of my eyes. worst feeling ever....worst thing is he wanted us back. She only had been back home three days and I was willing to give her a chance or try for my boy...It seems she only came back to continue her negligant behrvr and lead my boy to his death...i hate that I have to grieve my son and hate her actions in the same time....

This was near St Petersburg, FL, and the boy did not survive unfortunately. The father here was charged for child neglect for bringing his son to a dangerous illegal event. The motorcyclist was not charged.

I don’t know about you, but this kind of sounds like the father‘s fault my family used to dirt track race so I was in the pits all the time, but I always listen to my dad which he told me to stay in the pit and not to go out of it. I did that once he beat me and gave me a lesson from then on, I listen to him and how this dude did the same with his son. Maybe his son would’ve listened and stayed by the truck plus you shouldn’t be bringing that young kids to a racetrack or a street takeover special ones who can’t listen.
