Watching that scene was so cathartic to me. It was so obvious, even in the books, how much Claudia HATES Louis that the fandom believing otherwise always irritated me. Louis is not a good person or father, he ADMITS that he's selfish and prideful and it blinds him to the truth of his actions. Claudia's life was miserable from start to finish and it was, in fact, Louis and Lestat's fault more than anyone else's.
