Always check 24 and 48 hours later after plumbing work for leaks. I def recommend putting a pot or bowl underneath in case a leak starts

You can get silicone or rubber mats off Amazon that line your sink cabinet. That way if it does end up leaking it will not ruin the wood.

If you wanna make sure you have no leaks with the pop up put some silicone on the part that touches the sink on the top and underneath above the rubber gasket
