@glowbackwithclaire: If I could go back to day one of my sciatica journey, this is what I’d tell myself. I spent so long searching for the right stretch, exercise and treatment before I realised one thing that changed everything: sciatica is a symptom, not a diagnosis. Understanding the cause changed my recovery. #nervepain #sciaticarelief #sciaticarecovery #sciaticapainrelief #findthecause
Ok here’s an answer from me , I had sciatica 4 years ago, then I started walking 8000 steps per day and I havnt had pain since

I have pain since eight years, from L4-L5 , I tried every thing and the pain keep on changing, I got RED Flag Signs but I continued exercising, stretching and swimming. I have only now difficulties in standing more than ten minutes and walking more than 200 mtr. It needs continues exercises to strengthen the muscles only. The age has a big role in getting butter sooner.🌹

@Tasha: The doctors told me I have Sciatica back in October, it was only a few weeks ago I was given an MRI, they’ve now discovered a disc herniation L5S1. Been to a Chiropractor since January, which has helped but not fixed. The doctors have now told me there’s no help (physio/injection/surgery) for at least 3 months. I’m now signed off work and just don’t know what to do next or how to get better 🥺

I had it for 9 years. I went to a chiropractor for 18 months and in the end, I found that all I needed was a tennis ball and sit on it hard till the pain disappeared

My mother is 87 and has terrible sciatica, but she won’t get an MRI scan done and she won’t even go to the doctors. I’m guessing it’s some kind of spinal stenosis, possibly disc bulge, but what can anyone do about that?

There is no magic fix. Some things can help: Less stress, sometimes walking, something light exercise, but most importantly rest enough, sleep enough, drink enough water 😎
