You can make a solid argument that the free market would show minimum pricing prevail. And that Regulators would prevent collusion of coordinated market price hikes. But, in reality when we cannot (or will not) regulate people with their own agenda for profit at the sake of customer/public efficiency, then the outcome is utterly dystopian
