Some days, praying feels heavier than usual. The motivation isn't there, and the excuses come easily. But worship isn't built on feelings, it's built on sincerity and obedience. The Prophet ﷺ said: "Indeed the first deed by which a servant will be called to account on the Day of Resurrection is his Ṣalāh. If it is complete, he is successful and saved, but if it is defective, he has failed and lost. If something is deficient in his obligatory prayers, Allah, Mighty and Sublime, will say: 'Look! Are there any voluntary prayers for My servant?' Then what is lacking in his obligatory prayers will be completed with them. Then the rest of his deeds will be treated in the same way." — Jāmiʿ al-Tirmidhī 413 (graded Ṣaḥīḥ by al-Albānī) May Allah ﷻ make us among those who remain steadfast in prayer, even on the days our hearts struggle.
