There’s so much skincare information out there but I personally keep it simple. I just think of moisturizer as the step that seals in my routine. In the morning, sunscreen (basically a cream + UV filters). At night, it’s a moisturizing cream. 🤣

My guess is that it depends on the ingredients. Hydrators usually have hyaluronic acid while moisturizer are more oil-based. Also, hydrators = deep moisture, moisturizer = top moisture and lock moisture.

My derma too she always advice me not to use moisturizer and just use sunscreen/sunblock gel type since sa weather daw natin

To me, general rule na if you cleanse your face (which you should probably do), then you have to replenish the moisture you lost. Maybe difference in terminologies lang ang ginagamit in the past. We should listen to our dermatologist ofc, but let’s just say belo is not MY derma

It depends on your skin talaga that’s why it’s important to consult your derma before using anything on your face. I use moisturizer but certain brands lang like cerave, physiogel, or celeteque and twas suggested to me because i have dry and sensitive skin. But that’s all i use + steroid cream in some part of my face.

Napanuod ko rin si dra belo like 5 years ago ayun din sabi nya so I stopped using moisturizer nuon but oily parin ako so I tried to look for the right moisturizer and it worked for me. Mas nag-ooil talaga ako pag di nag momoisturizer.

I remember her saying, "Oiliness is next to ugliness." Maybe may trauma si Doc sa mga "traditional" moisturizers. She did share na she had bad acne noong bata siya. And imagine the moisturizer formulations back in the 70s and 80s. Not defending her, but I understand where she's coming from.

As an Oily girly I think I'll stop using some moisturizer. Recently I was consistent in using alo veras yung mga naka tub at spray sa watsons in my face and neck like when I wake up and before I sleep. Nagtataka ako yes like naggoglow ako ganon kase makinis eh but totoo yung sinasabi ni doc sa effects niya. Lumaki yun pores ko like pansin ko yon kase every time nagmemakeup ako naging halata yung pores ko lalo, nagkaka Millia ako like sa ibat ibang part ng mukha ko, also sa ilong nag caclog tlga sa ilong. So I think minsan minsan ko nalang gagamitin not everyday.

Yung derma ko, sabi sakin Sunscreen lang at mild na sabon at Tetrinoin. Ayung kuminis mukha ko haha simula kasi nung gumamit ako ng Serum, Moisturizer, Toner, Retinol , biglang nag tubuan pimples ko hahahahahahahaha 🤣
