its actually insane that these types of zombies are so much different than other games portray them as, because this encounter implies they can feel pain and their first instinct when hurt it to scream or yell out for help despite then already being dead, it makes the atmosphere of the game much more terrifying and makes you remember all shamblers were once human too

The new animations show a lot of humanizing with the zombies, runners look like they are trying to snap out of it and constantly grabbing at their head and flailing, zappers look like they are trying to wake up when they lean on their axe and look down, idk about the cuirassiers tho
