my buddy has a smeding drop in non vgt in his 3rd gen g56 truck that has a 10mm cp3 and a really hot tune, truck absolutely rips and has no issues but im still not that big of a fan of them

There are other drop in options that run similar price but more reliable, I have had bad luck with smeding aswell on 2 trucks so I wouldn’t put them back on it, but I do get your situation a 2g swap is well worth the wait

I have a 09 6.7 with a g56, and after having 2 stock turbos go out I 2nd gen swapped it and i have over 180k on that set up and the truck just keeps performing, the truck and engine has 240k of pulling and young kid abuse throwin at it and it hasn’t let me down, I just put a set of injectors in it at 235k best truck I’ve owned
