@income.with.jenn: Did you know this? 👇 Now, don’t get me wrong… affiliate marketing has completely changed my life, BUT there are a few things I wish someone had told me before I got started (especially #3): 1️⃣ Contrary to what a lot of people put out there, affiliate marketing is not “easy”. The business model IS simple to understand and it’s easier than other online businesses because there’s no shipping, inventory, or selling, BUT money is not going to just start flowing into your account. It takes real effort & consistency to start seeing results, but the timeline varies for everyone. 2️⃣ You really should know/buy the products you’re promoting. You DO NOT have to pay to promote these products, but it’s a good idea to know the product inside and out so you’re familiar with it. You probably wouldn’t recommend products to friends or family that you’ve never tried, right? So don’t do it to strangers on social media. 🤷🏼‍♀️ 3️⃣ To make the most money, you need to become a master lead generator. Your job is not to sell!!!!! YOUR job is to generate leads for these businesses, it’s THEIR job to sell. This means you need to know your target audience (WHO wants to buy the products you’re promoting?), and speak to them. Share how this product benefited you & why they also need this product. Use storytelling & speak to different pain points. I learned this with time.
