One time a woman came to the greenhouse seeking a plant to help clean the chemical smell out of her photography dark room. I was like, "m'am, you understand that houseplants need light to live, right?" ~stares blankly through me~

Well then…I, at one point before this TT, thought I knew nothing about plants and THAT is why they dont seem to grow for me. I now think that the Pothos and the aloe that Ive kept alive for at least five years and the lavender, mint, and ecchivaria I have outside in Cali and have gotten to grow for the last few months…is because I am doing quite well. Thank you for this eye opening but depressing convo Kat and comment section.😳

people need to understand that most indoor plants are tropical, and they need to be given a tropical life, and that any plant material that is a ripe fruit is gonna take most of the year to generate

Another time, someone brought in a spath that I couldn't trouble shoot over the phone, and it was sticky & smelled of rotten eggs. They had been using mayo as leaf shine, and they were putting that shiz on like butter on toast!

Last one..... Strangest one was a complaint that the day they brought home a staghorn fern, all the food in their refrigerator started going bad. They brought the fern back and demanded reparations for their spoiled food. 😳

I have NEVER been able to keep plants alive. I follow instructions, I feed and water, I do everything I’m told to do, and they still go brown. I swear I have a black thumb.

guys I'm so sad because I got native pollinator flowers for my area and get this a rabbit ate them 😭😭😭 I know I planted it to help wild life but I was hoping for bees and butterflies and then I could keep my flowers at least the rabbit looks happy
