As a dollar general employee.. I would because I know how it’s treated. It is immediately put away when we get the truck & it’s rotated and dates are checked every single day. Literally no different than going to a grocery store

Not Walmart either. I only use the local butcher or the local grocery if the butcher is closed. I live in a town of 5000, my neighbors raise my meat and grow my veggies.

I work at DG and I bet you we care more than most stores! And smaller selection means we pay attention to what we do have.

I work at Dollar General and this is the freshest meat that you can get. It comes out of Florida. It’s slaughtered within three days and shipped out.

we get alerts on the handheld to check for expired stuff and not just food. it also has to be put away within 2 hours.

It’s doesn’t come from Dollar General, it comes from Spartannash where I’m at. It comes on pallets and we have to stock it right away.
