these old racquets are actually great for volley work. keeps you precise and punchy. just don’t hit an overhead or you’ll snap it though ha.

I remember using a racket like that as a kid. Never asked whose it was. I assume it was my grandads. It was fairly heavy with a small head, like that one, but did have some power.

I remember Mark philippoussis did this about 20 years ago when he was still serving around 130mph and got within about 5mph of that with a wooden racquet.
