Tell me you don’t know anything about private school without telling me. My son goes to private school. I have never had to provide any documentation for him. At his first school I had him under a different last name than what’s on his birth certificate. With private schools it is very much don’t ask don’t tell type of situation.

There weren’t very many laws regarding HOW a student was enrolled. They didn’t even pass a law that you needed your birth certificate for enrollment until I was in high school! That’s how I enrolled under my step dad’s last name. No one cared.

I was 4 1/2 when I started Kindergarten in Illinois in 1980. I didn’t go to preschool either. I graduated at 17.
