@lavishhomeinspections: Have you ever noticed small openings near the bottom of your brick exterior? Those are called weep holes, and they’re designed to allow moisture trapped behind the brick to drain out. Without them, water can build up behind the wall, leading to mold, wood rot, and other costly issues over time. It’s a small feature that plays a big role in protecting your home. If you’re buying, selling, or maintaining a home in the San Antonio area, trust Lavish Home Inspections to identify issues before they become expensive repairs. Schedule your inspection today. #LavishHomeInspections #SanAntonioHomeInspector #HomeInspection #WeepHoles #HomeMaintenance #HomeownerTips #SanAntonioRealEstate #HouseHunting

I’m sorry but mice and a rat could get in there very easily. They squeeze through those things and any crack like you wouldn’t believe remember they don’t have no bones or back so they squeeze through anything that that’s like a giant hole for them

I had a snake in one of mine that was kind of wide. I plugged those suckers with a metal mesh material. I didn't sleep for like a week after I walked out my back door and saw that snake head poking out.

Weep vents are designed to keep critters from going into those holes. You just can’t make them solid. Then moisture can’t escape
