@klkbuilds: I replaced the two rotten deck posts before pouring the new patio. The old posts had rotted between the footing and the concrete, so I cut them out, lifted the deck with a bottle jack, and installed new pressure-treated posts on steel post bases. Now they’ll sit above the finished concrete instead of buried in it. I still need to install the Simpson Strong-Tie straps to lock the posts into the beam, then we’re almost ready for concrete. #deckrepair #DIY #homeimprovement #construction #realestate
