Got a comment saying I used AI for this, and just to clarify I didn't! ^^ This was purely made in After Effects. For the intro, I used a Turing pattern, and added mix of blurs, levels, wave warp, and turbulence. (editing yapping ahead) so making the text to seamlessly blend into the background was tricky since if I just threw a wave warp/distortion effect on an adjustment layer, the distortion would get so intense that by the end of the timeline the new text would be swallowed up and completely unreadable so I needed the effect to ramp up from zero (readable) to max (distorted) independently for every single word. so what i did was i put the effect on the first word, took a screenshot of its very LAST FRAME (the frame before the next word appears), and used that screenshot as the background for the next word so that it would have that continuous, seamless look while letting me start the new word at zero distortion again, then i repeated this process for every single word in the song. So yeah, definitely not AI, just a bunch of manual work 😵
