@maxi27166: The truth some fans overlook when comparing the twins to Talia and Barcas is that they often forget the root of the tragedy: Senever and the Emperor. The fact that characters like Talia, Ayla, Gareth, and Barcas are deeply flawed does not erase the reality that they were once innocent children who paid the price for the choices of the adults around them. Talia suffered for a sin she never committed. Her own mother neglected her, and she grew up surrounded by hatred. Barcas suffered because of his father's beliefs—he was tortured by the Church, forced to suppress his emotions, and chained by duty. Bernadette was betrayed and publicly humiliated by her husband while she was still pregnant. Even as she lay dying, he showed no concern for either her or their children. The twins grew up witnessing their father's betrayal and their mother's suffering. Ayla was repeatedly humiliated, stripped of her title as Duchess, and even had her pilgrimage disrupted. Gareth, in turn, was stripped of his kingship. None of these characters escaped suffering. Their flaws explain their actions, but they do not erase the pain they endured or the innocence they lost because of Senever and the Emperor's decisions. #manhwaedit #manhwafyp #manhwareccomendation #theforgottenfield #novel

Can someone tell me what happens to the twins in the novel? And what about Talia's younger brother? Is he the one who becomes emperor?

everyone is the villain in their own way, although Varkas, Thalia and Ayla is the only one innocent so far.

I hate how the narrative portrayed the former empress and the twins. Obviously they are also the victims of the environment created by Senevier and the emperor. But of course the narrative of this story won't portray them as victims like how they portray Thalia and Varkas because they want the Ml and Fl to shine. They want people to pity them. To love them. And to hate the rest because they are all the cause of their tragic love. The former empress and the twins are deeply flawed just like Thalia, but the narrative won't portray them like how flawed Thalia is, and instead the narrative portrayed them as dumb villains who are selfish and that is the reason why the main characters are suffering.

The real villain for me is The Former Empress.. manipulating Varkas since kids 🧒🏼😏 I don’t like Senevier either but she always saying truth to Thalia at least.. bad mother of course!! And I don’t want even comment about the Emperor.. trash father ( whatever happen between him n his two wives, Thalia didnt deserve to outcast ) showing fav coz guilt is trash 😏😏 gareth n Ayla also has part to make Thalia become ruthless.. she was a child at that time and doesn’t know anythings, she try to be close with them but they blame her for everything’s.. treat her as a threat.. as Kim Suji fans since her first novel.. I feel this is the most saddest novel she ever created.

Bernadette made it complicated for the kids. Why suicide and push your twins on a father that couldn’t care less. She’s not poor, the emperor would probably spare the twins, she didn’t need to put a spell on an innocent kid like Varkas. Bernadette didn’t spare these kids while her weak self just dies like wtf not a great mother, pathetic empress and weak wife.

Why write about events that didn't happen? Gareth was not stripped of the throne, and Ayla completed her pilgrimage. Furthermore, she was the one who repeatedly humiliated herself—such as by begging Talia to reject the engagement, even though she knew she had done nothing for her sister to warrant such help. You are right that all the characters are victims, but please double-check your facts.

Literally, the ones truly to blame for their misfortune are their own parents... their decisions caused Talia, Barkas, and the twins to suffer the consequences, yet they choose to hate them more than the people actually responsible. And no, I’m not saying Talia, Barkas, and the twins aren't to blame for their own actions, but their traumas originated because of their parents.

Didn’t the former empress drank the poison herself to get the emperor’s attention? She like willingly gave up her crown just by drinking the poison? Like girly have all the power to fight Seneveir but she willingly gave it up for her and this manhwa is just them developing trauma or getting trauma because of their parents it’s so sad
