Great words man, heavily agree with this. Remaking and taking inspiration is a great way to improve your skill in editing, infact thats what I did to get where I’m at today and I still do sometimes because you can never stop learning and improving. The important part is taking the stuff you learn and make something of your own and be as original and unique as you can 🙏🏻

ibs are great practice. i always show love on every ib that im tagged in. edit what you want to edit. if thats a rm or ib then go ahead nothing is stopping you.

i agree especially because of all the kiuzr style but i will say that some styles are really appealing and you just want to try them. some editors do find it difficult to come up with stuff, especially if you haven’t been editing for a while. the issue with ibs and remakes is it can feel so soulless if it’s all they do. i’d say to just gather inspo from multiple sources and amalgamate to create something new. everything is inspired by something even if not explicitly anyway

so true I really try to stay away from hard ib’s and make my own stuff even though there’s so much of it on TikTok and it annoys me that that many people are not taking the time to have their own ideas because they’re work would be so much better if they actually did

Yeah idk why ppl do it so often. I think its cool to learn but doing it every time or a lot then you arent really learning. I used to be like this but if you actually take the time to sit down and learn then your quality of work and time will go up and youll be more confident
