@the_only_emeline: Fujiko Nakaya « cloud *07156 » exhibition takes place at @boursedecommerce until september 14th ☁️ Always working from a specific context, the artist creates an extraordinary encounter between fog and interior spaces. Fujiko Nakaya does not only depict fog, she creates and sculpts it. After she gave up painting in the mid-1960s, she came back working on major experiment a few years later. In 1969, she invented a “system/device for producing a cloud sculpture from water mist” in collaboration with Thomas Mee. Her strong artistic stance invites the public to walk through her work experiencing it firsthand rather than merely contemplating it. By its very nature, the phenomenon of mist is unstable, ephemeral, and in a state of perpetual metamorphosis. The question is no longer made to be seen in one perspective but from multiple pov.
