I saw someone say they stopped listening to twenty øne piløts because they thought this cover felt like a soulless, ai generated cover meant for popularity (paraphrasing). It broke my heart, because I love this cover so much and the idea of them doing something solely for the industry goes against so many of their own songs

i didn’t know it was a cover for 5 years, kinda tells you how great it is. i still believe that the tøp version is better than the og and captures the vibe of the song better. no hate to mcr at all! i like their song as well
