You’re just giving it some color and locking in the flavor. Transfer the chicken to an oven safe baking dish. In a bowl, mix together half a block of softened cream cheese, a couple tablespoons of sour cream, a handful of shredded Colby Jack cheese, crumbled bacon, and sliced green onions until well combined. Spread the creamy mixture evenly over each piece of chicken, then top with a little more shredded Colby Jack cheese, extra crumbled bacon, and more green onions. Bake at 350°F uncovered for about 20 minutes, or until the chicken is fully cooked and reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
