Please make sure that you're prepared to keep her educationally stimulated once she's in school!! She's going to be extremely ahead of most of her classmates because you're actually raising her instead of just giving her an iPad all day every day, meaning she's likely going to pick up on subjects much faster than her classmates can because she's developmentally on-schedule, and she may end up getting bored because of that.

I saw a mom on here say that she uses iPads for traveling and tells her kids the devices are rented from the airport or something like that so the kids never ask for them regularly!

Idk why people cannot grasp to simply not give them an iPad unless it’s using a parents for this reason - for learning or “work” in very small amounts. So they grow up and associate iPads with utility. Our kids do not need a £1000 computer. They need toys and to be outside. It’s not hard.

2003 kid here, I was allowed use of an iPod with offline games and downloaded movies (Star Wars and Harry Potter) for multi hour car rides and occasionally flights, which I think was pretty reasonable.

This is also what we started doing with our kids after Covid when they reached peak iPad kid and we saw a huge change in their behaviour. We also have them in competitive sports so they are much more interested in doing things in real life than being on phones. Now they use it as a tool to communicate, not entertain themselves
