All schools kind of do this or similar practices. I got a 92 on my final exam to a course, and I got curved down to an 86 because the prof said too many people did well (my friend was the marking TA and told me).

And I’m 41. I don’t have a clue who I work with got As and who got Cs. Enough. I do know someone who graduated as Salutatorian in science and couldn’t function in the field. They only knew science as it functioned in a lab. It was maddening.
