@thebeardedplantaholic: When I was younger, I genuinely believed adults had cracked the code. I thought by thirty you’d have life mapped out. By forty you’d have money figured out, confidence, purpose, the lot. Turns out… nobody hands you a manual. Some people are just better at looking like they’ve got it together. For years I measured myself against an imaginary version of what a “real man” should be. He could fix everything. Never doubted himself. Always knew the right answer. The funny thing is… I don’t think he exists. These days I’m not trying to be perfect. I’m trying to be present. To laugh more than I worry. To love my family well. To grow things. To make memories. To leave people a little happier than I found them. If you’re reading this wondering why you still don’t feel like a proper adult… Welcome to the club.
