Mikayla, we only see what is shown on TV and social media, but from a viewer’s perspective, it feels like you’ve lost empathy for Taylor. No one is saying you have to agree with everything she’s done, but there’s a difference between holding someone accountable and repeatedly piling onto someone who is already struggling.Taylor has been open about her mental health, past trauma, and the challenges she’s facing. Whether you like her or not, she’s still a human being deserving of basic compassion. What’s especially hard to watch is that Taylor helped put MomTok on the map. Without her, many of these opportunities may not even exist. That doesn’t mean she should be immune from criticism, but it does mean a little gratitude and grace wouldn’t hurt. You expect understanding when you’re going through difficult seasons, so extend that same understanding to someone else. Kindness costs nothing. Bullying says far more about the bully than the person being bullied. I genuinely hope everyone involved finds healing instead of continuing to tear each other down.

Have you ever thought that maybe God assigned certain people into your life for a specific purpose or reason so that you could be an example of Him in human form? Maybe those people are not there for you to judge, criticize, or use their struggles as a way to point fingers, but to teach you something about love, grace, and compassion. Maybe the reason you’ve continued to have health problems is not because God is punishing you, but because the “thorn in your side” is meant to humble you and help you look beyond yourself. Sometimes pride can make it difficult to see how our words and actions affect the people we are supposed to be a witness to. It’s worth reflecting on whether we are truly showing the character of God when we speak/behave towards others because being a witness isn’t about pointing out someone else’s shortcomings, it’s about showing love, humility, and grace.
