You can literally just watch Big Brother. Live feeds all of that is optional. It’s like Survivor but you have the option to dive deeper see the guts of the show. The reason a lot of BB fans pay attention to what news is coming out of the live feed is because the main show is a heavily edited show and they shape the story and often times people get painted in a certain light with lack of context. That’s the only reason people who pay attention to the feeds don’t give much credence to the overall feelings and opinions of casual watchers. Because you don’t have the full context 90% of the time and that’s ok. But like realize when you interact with them it’s like a hobbyist interacting with a scholar. Like just enjoy the ride and don’t try to debate with feed watchers online because you’re probably wrong. BB fandom is a go as deep as you feel like and you’re able to that’s it.

If you’re new to BB, I would watch all the main episodes and pick 1 twitter/tiktok/youtube person who recaps the live feeds daily to check in on to keep up to date. The edit doesn’t show like 90% of what actually happens in the house. The episodes are days behind what’s happening in the house, so here’s the schedule if you want to watch live feeds: Thursday (after eviction), Friday (HoH meets with everyone 1 on 1/decides nominees), Sunday (Veto comp, see who won), Monday (Veto Meeting), Tuesday-Wednesday (Nominees campaign to stay in the house)

1st episode of Big Brother is always cheesy af. give it some time and you really see why people love the show. The problem is strategy is the reason we love the show, but editing focuses on the competitions.

if you need to figure out the game fast without waiting the whole first week, go watch the first 3-4 episodes of BB10. no gimmicks, no twists, just straight BB.

Also, not trying to start a fight, but many of us legacy BB fans don't get why Dee is highly regarded, especially after the first week of live feeds.

My best piece of advice as a new fan is just enjoy the show through episodes, it takes probaly 2 weeks to get truly what the show is about. Don’t worry too much about the live feeds, once you get invested then maybe jump over to the feeds. (This is coming from a die hard survivor fan, who also LOVES big brother)

Big Brother episodes are horribly edited, like for an audience of 11 year olds. Survivor’s editing fell off a cliff around 40 but it is still miles better.

Dee and Devens will be fine. Devens is well structured in the social side and Dee has power and is connected with the other returnees and she is probably safe for a while. Plus BB loves to give returnees powers

what so fun about this show is you can be as into it as you want. casual about it or all in. it starts out kinda slow and overwhelming and kinda weird but at some point it take off!
