Any meals or family activities or treats that you’d pay for your kids, you pay for their friends as well. They should bring spending money as well for any souvenirs or activities that the teenagers would want to do on their own. Just treat them like you would your own kids, as though they’re part of your family.

My biggest pet peeve !!!! I always send money with my kids and I also offer money to their parents. HOWEVER If I invite a child on vacation with us I NEVER expect them to pay for ANYTHING . If I can’t afford an extra kid I just don’t take one .

Teens should bring their own spending money for souvenirs or extras. But food, lodging and activities, I’d pay for. If I’m paying for it for my kids, then I’m paying for their friend as our guest.

I always brought spending money for souvenirs but it was an unspoken rule that the parent paid for lodging, food, activites and i was taught to be grateful, order something cheap and have fun.

If we invite, we cover. If my kids are playing mini golf, getting ice cream and a tshirt, so is the friend. It’s our treat. I just tell them they can bring spending money, but it’s not necessary.

I always say to bring spending money, but I’m not gonna make them pay for anything my kids aren’t also paying for. So like if the teenagers wanna go get Taco Bell they’re paying if we’re eating dinner at a Mexican restaurant I’m paying. If we’re going golfing because the little kids want to go, but I’m paying if the teenagers wanna go hang out by their selves and their activity is mini golf and they’re gonna be paying for it. Hopefully that makes sense.
