Noo way this is happening his my grand dad and his name is oyuki masuka later on in 1978 he moved to Seattle with my grandma and started life there he eventually passed way in 1993 meeen by the stories I hear about him he might be just the coolest guy in existence

Okay this peeked my interest, a few things I noticed while going through these videos, you said he seemed like a natural on a board which means he has good balance, athletic build, etc. This is just a theory, but the photos kept getting zoomed in on and I was trying to look around to see if I could notice anything different or out of place. And I noticed when there was a zoom in on his face, it definitely looks like he has cauliflower ear maybe from wrestling or boxing. Could be a reason why he looks to be athletic and well balanced. As well as a gap in the teeth. Could be common from getting hit in the face. I also zoomed in on his hands just to see and they do seem like they could be a little bigger/swollen from boxing. Like I said just a theory but I did take pictures of the zoomed in shots. If this helps in any way, or if you decide to take a second look please tag me.

So I have been thinking about what everyone was saying that he looks natural on the board. So if he went from surfing that would help with being able to skateboard. So in 1965 there was a surfing competition called the East Coast Competition on Virginia Beach. They do have video footage of the event. Maybe try there if he was a surfer!

Great story . I’ve been following. Vintage Cool. Dug out an old photo of me from 1977 I’m wearing the Steelers Jersey. From a newspaper clipping. One of the movies I remember about how skateboarding started was the “ Jan and Dean “ sidewalk surfing song. Roller skates were metal and slipped over your shoes and a skate key was used to tighten them. They could be split up and attached to a board . I did this in my younger days . I remember a scene in that movie “ maybe” them ripping off a wood crate from the front of such a board . It was basically a scooter. Ripping the crate off and thus the first skateboard was born..
