@falhadadekowiman: As a female leader, I am deeply saddened and outraged by the disturbing video that has surfaced from Shidiye’s function today in Dadaab, allegedly showing a young female political aspirant being kicked and harassed by the MCA for Dadaab. I condemn this act in the strongest terms possible. Violence, intimidation, and harassment against women in politics are unacceptable and have no place in a democratic society. Every woman who chooses to offer herself for public leadership deserves to campaign in an environment of safety, dignity, and respect not fear and abuse. This incident serves as a painful reminder of the challenges many women continue to face in political spaces. We cannot build an inclusive democracy if women are threatened or attacked for exercising their constitutional right to seek elective office. To my fellow women leaders and aspiring leaders, do not be discouraged. Your voice matters, your leadership matters, and your participation is essential to strengthening our democracy. Let us continue to stand together against all forms of gender-based political violence and work towards a society where leadership is determined by vision, integrity, and service, not intimidation. Enough is enough. Violence against women in leadership is an attack on our democracy, and we must all stand united in rejecting it.

Appeal and Request
I would like to send this appeal to Hon. Shidiye.
Please reconsider your support for Abo. As members of the Dadaab community, we are deeply concerned about his alleged actions and the impact they have had on our community.
The incident involving a woman yesterday has caused serious concern. We respectfully ask you to take this matter seriously and do what is necessary within your authority.
We also call upon the Kenyan law enforcement authorities and human rights organizations to investigate these allegations thoroughly and take appropriate legal action if there is sufficient evidence. We urge everyone to protect the rights of women and uphold justice and the rule of law.
