Sakina bint Husayn was the young daughter of Gilmam Hussain who was present during the Battle of Karbala in 680 CE. She was between five and twelve years old at the time and accompanied her father from Medina to Kufa along with the Ahlul Bayt. After the Umayyad forces surrounded and killed Imam Hussain, Sakina was taken captive with the women and children and marched to Kufa and later to Damascus 1?.
