@beautybyoliviagrace: I spent years thinking I was just overly sensitive. After being diagnosed with ADHD, I learned about rejection sensitive dysphoria (RSD), and suddenly so many experiences made sense. These are just a few ways it’s shown up in my life. Everyone’s experience is different, but if you’ve ever overanalyzed a text, taken criticism deeply, or avoided opportunities because you were afraid of rejection… you might relate. What would you add to this list? 💛 RSD isn’t an official diagnosis, but it’s a term many people with ADHD use to describe intense emotional responses to perceived rejection or criticism. #ADHD #adhdtiktok #latediganosed #RSD #awareness
the first one feels so relatable to me even though I don't have it. one time my girlfriend ignored me for a month and I was wondering whether she still loved me or not and she said she just got to turn off do not disturb. i don't know whether that's true or not.

Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria is common among adoptees. It's especially difficult when making new friends and dating. The waiting for responses and wondering what I did wrong to be rejected again can be agonizing at times. Thank you for being vulnerable to talk about it, educate others and hopefully, there are strategies to lessen the pain. 💚
