@kadenwatson11: The Fugitive is an extremely efficient chase movie where nearly every scene advances the story by raising stakes and making us care about the characters. Let’s discuss! #thefugitive #kadensmovieclub #filmtok #movies #whattowatch
They don't make movies like this anymore, but Tommy Lee Jones didn't deserve his Oscar in favor of Ralph Fiennes

Sometimes when I wear blazers with jeans, I pretend I’m Tommy Lee Jones in The Fugitive.

Only Harrison could deliver “HE HAD A MECHANICAL ARM!”

I often hear people complain about tropes appearing in media, but i think films like the fugitive prove that their use isn't inherently a problem. there are just a lot more mediocre movies, books, and games than great ones.

The Fugitive is one of my all time favorite movies! It moves at the perfect speed, and Harrison Ford is *chefs kiss*. Great breakdown Kaden!!!

I’ve seen this movie a few times. But only after watching this breakdown did I connect the dots between this and Jim Carey’s line in The Mask. “It wasn’t me! It was the one armed man!” Which when delivered by Carey comes across as absurdist humor. But you never feel that when Harrison Ford says it.

The Fugitive and Tombstone. If either was on TV, I stopped changing channels and watched.

I know everybody clowned on Harry Styles when he said it, but I do love it when a movie feels like a movie (complementary)

I love the moment after the dam jump where Richard repeats the line “Find that man!” in his head. It’s when he realizes that he’s not going to fix this by running. He’s going to fix this by solving the mystery himself.

Timeless classic. I love Harrison Ford, but Tommy Lee’s performance is so attention grabbing and honest—he steals the movie imo. I love his transition from typical to atypical antagonist. It’s a shame how little they actually shared screen time in this movie!

Great video. Love the movie. The writer of the original 60s TV show purposefully named the character “Gerard” to sound like “Javert”

I could not love this movie more! I’ve showed it to so many friends! You could do a full analysis of the tension building scenes that subvert expectations too! (Eg. the stairwell)

In addition to everything you observe here, the movie also has embedded in it a workplace comedy involving the Marshals that also serves to make Gerard likable even as he’s hunting our protagonist.

I found it funny how big the Harrison Ford name was in the opening. They really wanted you to know that he was in this movie. XD
It is a very 90's film, and I mean it as a compliment. You don't need to be flashy or complicated to have a very fun and interesting movie. Great pick. 👍🏼

what I like about this movie is how important circumstances are. Kimble is in the wrong place at the wrong time which means he gets to live, but his wife dies. All the good deeds he does, he doesn't do because he thinks they'll help him, in fact most of them actively hinder whatever he's doing at that moment. like saving the prison guard instead of escaping. Gerard only helps Kimble because he's looking closely and sees these little acts. he sees the circumstances. and in the end, his circumstances means he's in the right place at the right time to help Kimble and catch a real bad guy.
