One thing I noticed (that my wife didn’t so I’m pretty proud of it 😁). In the scene in the restaurant Niki is wearing a necklace with a letter “B” on it. Most people wear necklaces with their own initial, but she has bear’s, showing her lack of individual identity outside of Bear

Since childhood, I always knew characters in horror movies were just actors, nothing to be afraid of, as they are not real. Wish Nikki had me looking in the corners of my room just in case she was there. I have never felt so unsettled watching a movie. I watched it in stages during work breaks and every time I went to start it up, I was actually nervous to hit play. Obsession is not overhyped and deserves every bit of praise it receives.

theory: the reason why nikki gets worse through out is because sarah starts to love him more so if she needs to “love him more than anyone else” and someone else loves him more, she has to love him more than that, idk if that makes sense

people are exhausted with supernatural ghosts. Obsession is still supernatural, but no non-human jumpscare in sight. i'd say the hype is just right.

It’s not just a horror movie; it has so many layers. “Friends” who aren’t actually friends. The real Nikki being 🍇 and used by someone who says he loves her. Bear being a coward. I mean, it’s deep.

Overhype? nope. This movie is so good at giving us the chills. Just shows a guy can look innocent but is such a devil. He may not look like it but his action did. And the whole plot just, to me, is such a refreshing take on what a horror movie could be.
